Tiny bit busy
I’ve been busy recently making photography take the way, way back seat. This little one is mine. He was born during the summer, 11 weeks early. I was on strict bedrest for 12 weeks prior to his arrival. He is still in hospital and hopefully will be home soon. Fortunately, he is doing very well and has gone from 1310 gms (2lbs 13oz) to 2250 gms (4lbs 13oz). My family and I are feeling grateful for modern technology and the expertise of our many medical professionals. We have been waiting a long time for our little one to join our family.

Oh baby.
I had an opportunity to photograph my friend’s one week old baby.
I have never photographed a baby before and had a great time. There wasn’t a shot that wasn’t adorable.

Daily Prompt: Trick or Treat

Your doctor said at least 8 hours of sleep per day is required for mental clarity and good health,.
Pfff.
That leaves you 960 minutes to cook your “from scratch” meals, do the school run, volunteer, de-clutter, help with homework, shower, run, clean, read, blog, take photographs, work an eight hour day, socialize with friends, eat meals with your family, yoga, meditate…
Oh goodness, how will you ever?
I know. Come to me. I’ll give you a treat.
A treat sprinkled with sparkles. A shiny treat. A precious treat. An oh-so-very-lovely treat.
I will give you Time.

Low Light Photo Challenge
I love the seemingly infinite amount of instruction a newbie can find online. One of my favorite photo blog is Digital Photography School.
DPS’s post will guide you from taking the shot to post-production. The tutorials have helped me immensely and I love their weekly and weekend challenges for practice.
Each week brings a new challenge. This weeks is low light photography. You can read about and participate in the challenge here
This was my first time EVER shooting in manual (my first successful attempt). I didn’t do any post-production editing either. I was just thrilled it worked!
The Very First…
I have always loved photography, but am very new to the world of DSLRs. I use a Canon 600D and love it. I’m trying hard to learn and improve as I go. I would imagine that is the course of most new photographers. At the moment, if I get a great shot, its pure luck!
My latest subjects are flowers.
Here are a few Irises…
